For the third year in a row, ABC’s smash “Modern Family” has taken the Emmy for comedy series.

A battle between key cast members and 20th Century Fox over the stars’ salaries was settled in late July.

“Modern Family” competed against “30 Rock” (NBC), “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS), “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (HBO), “Girls” (HBO) and “Veep” (HBO) in the category.

The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards are being handed out at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and the show is being televised live on ABC.
