Benedict Cumberbatch nails A-lister impressions in under one minute

Share

Benedict Cumberbatch does some mean impressions, and by mean, we mean uncanny and hilarious.

“The Imitation Game” and “Sherlock” star, 38, who has a fervent fan following, executed a litany of “imitations” during an interview with MTV during which he simultaneously promoted his forthcoming film as various actors and one Miss Taylor Swift.

Even though his World War II-era film is about code-cracking mathemetician Alan Turing, Cumberbatch was game to give imitating A-listers a go.

In under 60 seconds, the recently engaged British actor tackled impressions of John Malkovich, “Harry Potter’s” Alan Rickman, former Agent 007 Sean Connery, Jack Nicholson, “The Avengers’” Tom Hiddleston, actors Owen Wilson, Michael Caine, Christopher Walken, Batman villain Bane (courtesy of Tom Hardy), Texas-drawling Matthew McConaughey and even pop star Taylor Swift. (That last one needed some work, but was still darling to observe).

“The Imitation Game” hits theaters on Nov. 28.

Until then, watch Cumberbatch nail “the Beyonce Walk” during a recent episode of “The Graham Norton Show” here.
