Courteney Cox's divorce from David Arquette has been finalized.
The "Cougar Town" star and "Scream" actor finally ended their marriage Wednesday when a L.A. County Superior Court judge entered a final judgment for the divorce, according to TMZ, which ended their 12-year marriage just shy of what would have been their 14-year wedding anniversary.
Arquette, who had been separated from wife since 2010, filed for divorce the same day as Cox in June 2012. The two met on the set of the horror flick "Scream" in 1996 and were married in June 1999.
Both Cox, 48, and Arquette, 41, requested joint legal and physical custody of their 8-year-old daughter Coco.
The pair said they planned to stay friends after the divorce and made good on it. They also said they were committed to raising Coco together. Arquette and the "Friends" alum since shared the screen in the fourth installment of the "Scream" franchise, "Scream 4," in 2011 and have been quite genial about one another in the media.
"He's my best friend in the world. I love him," Cox said on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in January, despite their flame going out. "I appreciate David more now than I ever did."
"I mean … it's hard," Cox added. "I don't recommend divorce in general, but he is my best friend and we've both grown and changed, and I think we both appreciate each other more. I hope he does. I do."
"She's incredible," Arquette told People of his ex soon after. "I love her too, and she's an amazing person, a beautiful person."
