‘Full House’ family reunites to chronicle Dave Coulier’s wedding
The house was almost full again! “Full House” star Dave Coulier reunited a handful of the sitcom’s cast at his wedding to fiance Melissa Bring on Wednesday.
The comedian, who played affable Uncle Joey Gladstone on the long-running sitcom, wed Bring in Montana this week, but not without his second family — former costars Bob Saget, John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber all made their way to Big Sky Country to see Uncle Joey say “I do.”
Coulier revealed the date of the nuptials when he announced his engagement to the photographer-producer in June.
“Melissa has been my best friend since I met her nine years ago,” the 54-year-old told Us Weekly at the time. “I feel like the luckiest man on the planet. I get to marry my best friend, and she doesn’t mind that I have a really bad gas problem.”
The actors, who starred in the wholesome ABC sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1995, have kept close through the years, popping up to support one another’s endeavors, celebrate birthdays and capitalize on the sitcom to hawk things like yogurt.
There were members of the onetime Tanner-Katsopolis-Gladstone-Gibbler group everywhere you looked, and the TV clan took to social media for days leading the nuptials posting silly pics and sweet sentiments, totally upstaging the bride. (You’d think they’d post at least one picture of her as a courtesy!)
“This boy is very happy today - know why? @dcoulier @melissabring,” Stamos, 50, wrote, posting a pic of Coulier smiling while holding a sheet of paper.
“Stunning country wedding with great friends #BFF @andreabarber,” said Bure, 38, who played eldest daughter DJ Tanner, sharing a pic of herself and Barber during the outdoor reception.
The “Dancing With the Stars” alum then posted a pic of herself with the groom, saying, “Happy wedding day Dave & Melissa!!! I love you both SO much!!! @dcoulier @melissabring”
Barber, 38, who played nosy neighbor Kimmy Gibbler, chimed in with a pic of Stamos and Bure.
“Full hearts here at @dcoulier and @melissabring’s wedding,” she wrote. About a week ago, the actress shared a throwback photo of herself and the groom reminding followers of the “Funny or Die” sketch lampooning a Joey-Kimmy romance.
Saget, who played neat-freak patriarch Danny Tanner and voiced “Future Ted” on “How I Met Your Mother,” horsed around quite a bit with Stamos, who played Elvis and hair-obsessed rocker Jesse Katsopolis on the sitcom.
“#Bestiesdoingcardio next stop >>> steam room. Bob’s insisting we go in the ladies’ sauna,” Stamos had captioned a selfie of himself and Saget at the gym a few days earlier.
Saget, 58, ever the foul-mouthed comedian, also wrote a suggestive caption on a pic of Stamos walking away with a wedding bench as well as a “Sunset Stamos Selfie.”
“Full House” producer Jeff Franklin was also there and posted a snapshot of himself and the guys: Stamos, Coulier and Saget, whose dad characters were charged with taking care of three young girls.
“The three funniest guys I know, for 28 years, right after Dave and Melissa made it legal. Love these guys!” Franklin wrote.
Though she wasn’t present, Lori Loughlin, who played Stamos’ wife Aunt Becky, sent her love to the newlyweds via Twitter.
“Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Dave Coulier!! XO @DaveCoulier @melissabring,” she wrote.
Also missing were child stars-turned-fashion moguls Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played the lovable Michelle, and Jodi Sweetin, who played middle daughter Stephanie.
