‘Supergirl’ finds their Superman in actor Tyler Hoechlin
After a season-long tease-out, it looks like we’re finally going to meet the super famous, super cousin of Kara on “Supergirl.” The CW series has cast a Superman for their “Supergirl.”
The studio announced that actor Tyler Hoechlin (“Teen Wolf,” “Everybody Wants Some”) will play Superman, also known as Clark Kent on the new season of “Supergirl.”

Fans of the show are aware that the Superman character had been promised for the second season, and America’s super-powered superhero will allegedly be spotted visiting National City at the beginning of the new season. In what capacity will he be involved in Kara’s storyline? We’re not sure, but the fact that the studio is putting a face to the cape is a pretty good indication that he will have a speaking role.
However, fingers crossed, the big red cape doesn’t overshadow all the work “Supergirl” set up with their main character Kara (played by Melissa Benoist).
This is not the first Superman to join The CW. Actor Tom Welling spent 10 seasons playing Clark Kent on the The CW series “Smallville” (but only a few moments as the caped Superman).
The second season of “Supergirl” will premiere this fall on Mondays on the CW, joining “Arrow” and “Flash” for a hefty comic book block of television.
