The Secret Life of the American Teenager: George (Mark Derwin) acts on his attraction to Ricky's (Daren Kagasoff) mother, unaware that she's already seeing someone else in this new episode (8 p.m. ABC Family).

The Event: Sterling and the chief of staff (Zeljko Ivanek, Roger Bart) investigate possible conspirators when illness strikes the White House in this new episode (9 p.m. NBC).

American Experience: In 1969, homosexual activity was a crime almost everywhere; even gay-friendly enclaves such as New York's Greenwich Village weren't immune from police harassment … until one day in June 1969, when the patrons of a gay bar fought back. In "Stonewall Uprising," those who were there remember the events of that day, a milestone of the gay rights movement (9 p.m. KOCE).

Stargate Universe: Returning some colonists to their home on Novus, the crew of Destiny discovers that the planet, which is wracked by earthquakes and on the verge of destruction, has been abandoned in this new episode (9 p.m. Syfy).

Better With You: A special post-"Dancing With the Stars" airing of this sitcom features "DWTS" pro Derek Hough as a dance instructor who's preparing Mia and Casey (JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Jake Lacy) to take the floor at their wedding in this new episode (9:30 p.m. ABC).

Law & Order: LA: A prominent Hollywood stylist (Jaime Taite) is gunned down in her car in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).


Seized and Sold: The Madoff Auction: This new special goes behind the scenes of the auction held to liquidate the assets of convicted Ponzi swindler Bernie Madoff (7 and 10 p.m. National Geographic).


Baseball: The Dodgers visit the Florida Marlins (4 p.m. KCAL); the Oakland Athletics visit the Angels (7 p.m. FSN).

Hockey: NHL playoffs (4 and 6:30 p.m. VS).

Basketball: NBA playoffs: (5 p.m. TNT); the Oklahoma City Thunder visit the Denver Nuggets (7:30 p.m. TNT).
