Colson Whitehead The novelist who has written eloquently about humble everyday things — including elevators and bandages — turns his attention to zombies. In “Zone One,” his satire on the post-apocalyptic horror novel, a plague has sorted humanity into two types: the infected and the uninfected. The MacArthur award-winning writer will discuss the novel’s subversive take on the 21st century zombie with David Kipen, former literature director of the National Endowment for the Arts.
