MUSIC

Totally ‘80s Hollywood Bowl ‘80s nostalgia was the order of the day for much of the aughts, but this show reminds us what people actually listened to back then. The B-52s, the Human League, the Fixx and Berlin cut some of the decade’s most iconic tracks, and if you don’t want to cuddle with a significant other during “Take My Breath Away,” you don’t deserve to wear leggings and headbands. Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N. Highland Ave., L.A. 7:30 p.m. $25-$100. https://www.hollywoodbowl.com.

ART

Rob Reger Mixing clean design with a neo-surrealist sensibility, the concept for his “Encyclopedia of Hallucinations” has its roots in Reger’s childhood camping trips, when his father taught him to draw forms with a stick in the dirt. The solo show will also feature his best-known creation, Emily the Strange, a raven-haired pixie who has become a symbol of empowerment for outsiders of all ages. La Luz De Jesus Gallery, 4633 Hollywood Blvd. Opening reception, 8-11 p.m. (323) 666-7667. https://www.laluzdejesus.com.
