Wilco Over its 17-year career, Jeff Tweedy’s band has gradually moved from roots rock to something a bit more nebulous, as though the bandleader were with each album further distancing himself from his whiskey bottle and Levis past. The band is having fun not only with sound but with structure on “The Whole Love,” without sacrificing catchiness. Urban Legends at Upright Citizens Brigade The Legend of Bloody Mary, mild-mannered Mr. Rogers’ career as a secret sniper, Richard Gere and that gerbil, shout out your favorite urban legend — from scary to silly — for a UCB original reenactment. Kienholz Before LACMA A new exhibition illuminates the early work of the artist Ed Kienholz, who is known for his controversial 1966 show at LACMA and his equally incendiary installation “Five Car Stud” (which debuted in 1972, was in storage for decades and is currently on display at LACMA).
