The Cookers at Catalina Bar & Grill

Maybe the most aptly named ensemble working today, the Cookers are a collection of seasoned jazz pros that includes Billy Harper, Eddie Henderson, David Weiss and Billy Hart who deftly navigate the fertile ground between hard bop and post bop. The spirit and sound of ‘60s jazz may be well represented in spirit, but the results are hot enough to sound thoroughly of today. Catalina Bar & Grill, 6725 W.
