Thursday’s TV Highlights: ‘Supernatural’ on KTLA

Superstore Jonah and Mateo (Ben Feldman, Nico Santos) handle a “Dog Adoption Day” event at the store and become desperate to find homes for every puppy in this new episode of the workplace comedy. America Ferrera, Mark McKinney and Nichole Bloom also star with guest star Johnny Pemberto.  8 p.m. NBC

Grey’s Anatomy Each with a patient needing a liver transplant, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Bailey (Chandra Wilson, who also directed the story) clash over who should get the operation. Caterina Scorsone and Kevin McKidd also star. 8 p.m. ABC

The Good Place Janet (D’Arcy Carden) leads Eleanor and Chidi (Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper) on a new quest, but then they soon have to make a big decision for themselves. Ted Danson, Jameela Jamil and Manny Jacinto also star. 8:30 p.m. NBC

Chicago Med A car accident at the Chicago Marathon forces Dr. Halstead, April and April’s brother (Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Roland Buck III) to use their skills under unusual circumstances. 9 p.m. NBC

Supernatural Rick Springfield guest stars as a rock star who is possessed by the spirit of Lucifer in this new episode. 9 p.m. KTLA

Notorious An expecting surrogate mother (Sofia Vassilieva) needs Jake’s (Daniel Sunjata) help when the child’s parents can’t be located, and the surrogate appears on Julia’s (Piper Perabo) show to appeal to them to come back. Brenda Strong (“Desperate Housewives”) also guest stars. 9 p.m. ABC

Chopped This new episode opens a four-part tournament, with the winner getting a chance to beat chef Bobby Flay at his own game. 9 p.m. Food

Project Runway The designers attend a press event, but their festive mood sours when the party turns out to be a challenge. 9 p.m. Lifetime

The Blacklist Liz (Megan Boone) has to decide which side she’s on when Red (James Spader) becomes involved in a mission to catch Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen). Christine Lahti reprises her recurring guest role in this new episode. Harry Lennix and Diego Klattenhoff also star. 10 p.m. NBC

Project Runway: Fashion Startup In this unscripted spinoff series,  aspiring fashion and beauty entrepreneurs pitch their new business concepts to a panel of expert investors in this new series. On the panel are Katia Beauchamp, co-founder of the retailer Birchbox; tech marketplace expert Christine Hunsicker; fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff; and business mentor Gary Wassner. Designer Tommy Hilfiger is among the special guests scheduled to appear during the season. 10:32 p.m. Lifetime

The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again One of screen history’s ultimate cult classics gets a do-over in this new version, which acknowledges the project’s past by including an on-screen audience to react along with at-home viewers. Ryan McCartan and Victoria Justice now play Brad and Janet, who become stranded with mad scientist Frank-N-Furter (Laverne Cox) and company. The original film’s Tim Curry narrates. Ben Vereen also stars. 8 p.m. Fox

CMT Artists of the Year 2016 Musicians honored as the top country artists of 2016, include Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and Kelsea Ballerini. A  Shania Twain tribute is also featured. 9 p.m. CMT

Key & Peele Sportsball Spectacular Comics Keegan Michael-Key and Jordan Peele take on America’s most revered athletic activities in this new two-hour special. 9 p.m. Comedy Central
