There’s No Doubt you’ll be in the Pink when they Usher you into the “The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards.” Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj are just two of the other scheduled performers we couldn’t work into that sentence. (KABC, 8 p.m.)

Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy were bad … but nothing when compared to “The Dust Bowl” of the 1930s. Ken Burns surveys the economic, environmental and emotional devastation wrought by that decade-long disaster in a new two-part documentary. (KOCE, 8 p.m.; also Mon.)

MONDAY

“No Reservations” may have just wrapped after nine seasons, but Anthony Bourdain is still going, to places like Chicago, where he samples Windy City eats like hot dogs and pizza on the return of “The Layover with Anthony Bourdain.” (Travel, 9 p.m.)

TUESDAY

The man, the myth, the mogul: From the William Morris Agency’s mailroom to a mansion in Malibu, a new “American Masters” charts the rise of music-business legend, film producer, noted art collector and philanthropist David Geffen. (KOCE, 8 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

As God is her witness, Vivien Leigh will never be hungry again, and frankly, my dear, Clark Gable doesn’t give a damn, in the epic 1939 Civil War melodrama “Gone With the Wind,” based on Margaret Mitchell’s Pulitzer-winning novel. (AMC 10 a.m., 3 and 8 p.m.; TCM, 7:15 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Dinner’s not for a while. But you can pass the time, ignoring that rumble in your tummy, with “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” hosted by “Today’s” Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker, followed by “The National Dog Show.” (NBC, 9 a.m.; noon)
Or, you can feast on “NFL Football” when the Houston Texans face the Detroit Lions, the Washington Redskins tackle the Dallas Cowboys, and the New England Patriots play the New York Jets. (CBS, 9:30 a.m.; Fox, ?1:30 p.m.; NBC, 5:30 p.m.)

FRIDAY

Turkey Day is done… let the onslaught of yuletide-themed programming begin! And that includes the new stop-motion animated specials “Jingle & Bell’s Christmas Star” and “It’s a SpongeBob Christmas!” (Hallmark, 7 p.m.; CBS, 9:30 p.m.)

SATURDAY

Alienated: Lucas Cruikshank, star of the Internet series “Fred” is “Marvin Marvin” — an extraterrestrial teen so nice, they named him twice — in this new family-friendly sitcom. (Nickelodeon, 8:30 p.m.)
