Big Bird, look out! Ann Romney is coming to morning television.

The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will co-host “Good Morning America” on Oct. 10, subbing for anchor Robin Roberts, a spokesperson for the show confirmed. She’ll be joined by co-anchor George Stephanopoulos and the rest of the “GMA” team.

ABC News is also in talks with First Lady Michelle Obama as the election inches closer. But nothing has been set because, per a show spokesperson, “she doesn’t have time on her schedule right now.”

News of Romney’s co-hosting duties follows her husband’s strong performance in the first presidential debate, in which his comments on PBS, specifically Big Bird, sparked a social media firestorm.

Ann will appear on the morning talker during the 8 o’clock hour. Other guest co-hosts that have been tapped to fill in for Roberts, on medical leave, include Oprah Winfrey and the cast of “Modern Family.”
