“Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls” and you might just win a cool half-million in this new reality competition set in the rugged wilderness of New Zealand’s South Island. 9 p.m. NBC

Environmental activist Josh Fox is back to beat the drum against the natural-gas extraction process known as fracking in his new follow-up doc “Gasland Part II.” 9 p.m. HBO

Cruel and unusual? A true-life tale of crime, punishment and decades in solitary confinement is illuminated in “Herman’s House” on a new “POV.” 10 p.m. KOCE

TUESDAY

Heat. Humidity. Gators. Snakes. Frogs. More heat. Odd-sounding names like “Okefenokee” and “Atchafalaya.” More gators. Welcome to “Swamplands USA.” 8 and 9 p.m. Animal Planet

“Frontline” follows up with “Two American Families” previously profiled on the newsmagazine to see how they are fairing. 10 p.m. KOCE

Hello, muddah, hello, fadduh, here we are at … Little Otter? Rachel Griffiths plays a divorcee who runs the lakeside summer getaway in the new series “Camp.” 10 p.m. NBC

A serial killer terrorizes the cities of El Paso and Juárez, and a pair of cops from opposite sides of the border team to stop him, in the new drama “The Bridge.” Demián Bichir and Diane Kruger star. 10 p.m. FX

They snoop to conquer: A husband-and-wife team of investigative journalists goes “Inside: Secret America” in this new series. 10 p.m. Nat Geo

Take “Toddlers & Tiaras,” replace the toddlers with, um, women of a certain age, and what you’d have is something like “Crown Chasers.” 10 p.m. TLC

THURSDAY

Harpies and hydras and centaurs, oh my! A salute to the late stop-motion master Ray Harryhausen includes the 1963 fantasy-adventure “Jason and the Argonauts” and 1974’s “The Golden Voyage of Sinbad.” 5 and 7 p.m. TCM

Not be confused with “Camp,” it’s “Summer Camp.” Sixteen contestants vie for a share of a cool quarter-million in this new reality competition. 8 p.m. USA

In olden times, celebrities would demonstrate their athletic prowess on “Battle of the Network Stars.” Nowadays, a more relaxed approach prevails, as in the new series “Hollywood Game Night.” Jane Lynch hosts. 10 p.m. NBC

FRIDAY

“Cult,” the now-canceled TV show about a sinister cult that springs up around a TV show called “Cult,” burns off its last remaining unaired episodes. 8 and 9 p.m. KTLA

Host Scott Aukerman and his sidekick Reggie Watts welcome Andy Samberg and Selma Blair on the sophomore-season premiere of the somewhat sophomoric sketch series “Comedy Bang! Bang!” 10 p.m. IFC

SATURDAY

“Ted” talks… and swears, and carouses, and drinks, and smokes pot. “Family Guy’s” Seth MacFarlane directs and supplies the voice of the titular teddy in this R-rated 2012 comedy. Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis also star. 8 p.m. HBO

Good help is hard to find: Mekenna Melvin is “The Nightmare Nanny” in this made-for-cable thriller. Ashley Scott and Kip Pardue also star. 8 p.m. Lifetime

Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg are “Celeste and Jesse Forever.” Or they would be, if their characters weren’t headed for divorce in this atypical 2012 romantic comedy. 9 p.m. Starz

Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA is “The Man With the Iron Fists” in this heavy-handed 2012 homage to martial arts flicks. Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu also star. 10 p.m. Cinemax
