BET renews ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’

BET is getting real about “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” awarding the comedy a second season.

The spoof on “The Real Housewives” franchise featuring a group of African American celebrities who are married to famous wives has become one of the biggest hits on the network, earning more than 4 million viewers in its premiere episode. The second season will have 12 episodes.

The series stars Kevin Hart as the leader of the group, which includes Nick Cannon, husband of singer Mariah Carey; Duane Martin, husband of actress Tisha Campbell-Martin; Boris Kodjoe, husband of actress Nicole Ari Parker; J.B. Smoove, husband of singer Shaidah Omar; and Robin Thicke, husband of actress Paula Patton.
