They know something about birthing some babies: Nurse Jenny Lee (Jessica Raine) and Chummy (Miranda Hart) return when “Call the Midwife” delivers its season premiere. 8 p.m. KOCE

The wait has seemed longer than a Westeros winter, but “Game of Thrones,” the fantasy-drama based on George R.R. Martin’s novels, finally returns for its third season. With Peter Dinklage. 9 p.m. HBO

A woman’s work is never done: “Nick News With Linda Ellerbee” offers a kids’-eye view of the feminist movement with special guest Gloria Steinem. 8 p.m. Nickelodeon

The two-part documentary “Kind Hearted Woman” follows a Native American single mother — a recovering alcoholic and sexual-abuse survivor — as she tries to build a better life for herself. 9 p.m. KOCE; also Tuesday

Dish, dish, dish: Radio reporters, bloggers and scandal-sheeters ply their trade on the Big Apple’s hip-hop beat in the new unscripted series “The Gossip Game.” 9 p.m. VH1

At home with a broken leg, our hero (Nathan Fillion) thinks he sees a murder being committed in a nearby apartment on the 100th episode of “Castle.” And if that sounds like the plot of Hitchcock’s “Rear Window,” it is. 10 p.m. ABC

Funny lady: “Kristen Schaal: Live at the Fillmore” has the “30 Rock, “ “Daily Show” and “Flight of the Conchords” standout taking center stage in a new standup special. Midnight, Comedy Central

TUESDAY

It’s another season finale (the fourth) and yet another showdown (too many to count) for Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) on the drama “Justified.” 10 p.m. FX

WEDNESDAY

Where’s a TARDIS when you need one? “Doctor Who’s” David Tennant finds romance and intrigue in assorted European capitals in the years preceding WWII in the two-part miniseries “Spies of Warsaw.” 6 and 9 p.m. BBC America; concludes April 10.

We don’t get watered enough. It ain’t easy being green. Salad is murder. Leaf me alone. “Nature” lends an ear to all manner of flora — from the tallest tree to the lowliest weed — in “What Plants Talk About.” 8 p.m. KOCE

“Nova” unearths an ancient computer … and we don’t mean a Commodore 64! It’s a device, perhaps built by the mathematician Archimedes himself, once used to track the movements of the planets and stars. Yup, they had an app for that. 9 p.m. KOCE

Sarah Chalke, Elizabeth Perkins and Brad Garrett share close quarters in the new sitcom “How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life).” And twentysomethings cohabitate with seventysomethings in the new reality series “Forever Young.” 9:30 p.m. ABC; 10 p.m. TV Land

Coupling? Nick and Jess (Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson) tempt fate by going on their first official date on a new “New Girl.” And Denise Richards pays a return visit to ex-husband Charlie Sheen’s sitcom “Anger Management.” 9 p.m. Fox; 9:30 p.m. FX

Pleased to eat you: Mads Mikkelsen is “Hannibal,” the cannibalistic psychiatrist previously played by Brian Cox and Anthony Hopkins, in this new drama based on Thomas Harris’ novels. 10 p.m. NBC

FRIDAY

Curtain call: Stephen Sondheim, Angela Lansbury and Liza-with-a-Z Minnelli are among the musical-theatre greats sharing anecdotes and insights when “Michael Feinstein’s American Songbook” returns with back-to-back episodes. 9 and 10 p.m. KOCE

For its premiere edition, the newsmagazine “Vice” explores political violence in the Philippines and the Taliban’s employment of children as suicide bombers in Afghanistan. 11 p.m. HBO

SATURDAY

“Full House’s” Lori Loughlin is the titular mad mom, being menaced by a stranger while on a road trip to deliver her daughter to college, in the made-for-cable thriller “A Mother’s Rage.” 8 p.m. Lifetime

“Chariots of the Gods?” meets “2001: A Space Odyssey” in director Ridley Scott’s visually impressive but otherwise uneven 2012 “Alien” prequel “Prometheus.” Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron and Idris Elba star. 8 p.m. HBO

Total remake: Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel take on the Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone and Rachel Ticotin roles in the 2012 reboot of the 1990 sci-fi action tale “Total Recall.” 9 p.m. Starz
