Gotham Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) organizes a special unit in the police department in this new episode. 8 p.m. Fox
Scorpion Walter, Cabe and Happy (Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick, Jadyn Wong) are on board a highly classified submarine when an explosion sinks it. Peri Gilpin guest stars. Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Ari Stidham also star. 9 p.m. CBS

Fargo An unexpected turn of events at a diner disrupts the lives of the citizens in a small Minnesota town as the series returns. 10 p.m. FX
Castle When Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) literary idol is murdered, he and Beckett (Stana Katic) look for a motive. Tony Plana guest stars in this new episode. 10 p.m. ABC

Alcatraz History channel visits the infamous island with two new specials. “Inside Alcatraz: Legends of the Rock” delves into the history and effect of the site. “Alcatraz: Search for the Truth” recalls the 1962 prison break. 8 and 9 p.m. History
