Disneyland’s spring iteration of Dapper Day -- the biannual event when thousands of guests gather at the Anaheim theme park in dressy clothes from all eras -- is scheduled Sunday and will be celebrated with some special activities.

On both Saturday and Sunday, the Grand Californian Hotel will host an expo offering vintage and contemporary fashions, accessories, jewelry, beauty and grooming products, home goods and more. Admission to the expo is free. Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

On Sunday both Disneyland and the adjacent California Adventure Park will host Dapper Day, and an estimated 20,000 attendees in vintage or modern dressy garb are expected to mingle among other visitors. The park is open to the public.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a private lunch with entertainment is planned. Originally envisioned as a lawn party, the event is being moved inside to the Trillium Ballroom and Terrace at the Grand Californian Hotel due to a forecast of rain, according to the Dapper Day website. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door.

At 1 p.m., there will be free dancing and dance lessons as part of the expo at the Grand Californian.

Disneyland hours are 8 a.m. to midnight, and California Adventures’ hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
