Kate and Jack Spade collaborate on Gap Kids collection

Gap Kids has a cute, cute, cute collection of clothes for kids done in collaboration with Kate Spade and Jack Spade.

The clothes were inspired by the idea of a brother and sister driving to Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving. They’ll be available Oct. 30 to Nov. 14.

The limited edition collection marks the first time the Spade companies have ventured into kidswear. It includes 78 pieces, priced from $19.95 to $130.

EventsSplendid plans to host an evening of shopping and cocktails from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today. Fashion bloggers Catherine Sheppard of the Life Styled, Jen Pinkston of the Effortless Chic and Mara Ferreira of M Loves M are hosting. The Cocktail Academy and Effortless Thyme are providing cocktails and snacks, DJ Haute Mobile Disco will provide tunes, Sweetsugar will provide take-home treats and Christina Prusz is set to show guests how to create a cocktail napkin. Cathal McAteer, founder of U.K.-based men’s and women’s clothing label Folk, is scheduled to meet customers at Unionmade at the Grove from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. The 25th annual High Tea and Fashion Show benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Balboa Bay Resort, 1221 West Coast Highway, Newport Beach. Mark your calendars for the Love Your Body Fashion Show, scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, 11461 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles. Diane von Furstenberg’s first free-standing “wrap shop,” specializing in the iconic wrap dress, has opened at the Americana at Brand, 889 Americana Way, Glendale. Check the mall website for hours.

Rag & Bone has opened a new store at 1118 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice. The 3,500-square-foot space offers women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, jeans, accessories and footwear. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.

Made-to-measure men’s shoe brand the Left Shoe Company has opened a pop-up shop at the corner of Canon Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills. It’s to be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday through the holidays. The company also has a regular store at 8473-D Melrose Ave., Los Angeles.

Activewear brand Lole has opened a Brentwood store at 13050 San Vicente Blvd. The store, on the second floor of Brentwood Place, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Skingraft has opened a flagship in downtown L.A.’s historic core in the Great Republic Lofts building at 758 S. Spring St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
