New NBA ‘We Are One’ T-shirts to benefit tolerance groups

NBA debuts ‘We Are One’ T-shirts
‘We Are One’ T-shirts with the Los Angeles Clippers logo, left, and NBA logo are two of the four new T-shirts that will be sold to benefit anti-discrimination and tolerance organizations.

The National Basketball Assn. announced Sunday that it will be rolling out a line of merchandise emblazoned with the “We Are One” slogan that became a rallying cry for the Los Angeles Clippers franchise and its fans in the wake of the Donald Sterling scandal.

The announcement reads, in its entirety, as follows:

“The National Basketball Association (NBA), in cooperation with We R One Clothing, Washington D.C., announced today that beginning Sunday, May 4, fans can purchase a variety of products manufactured and distributed by official NBA licensees that read ‘We Are One,’ the Los Angeles Clippers’ newly adopted slogan for leaguewide unity.  All proceeds from merchandise sales will benefit anti-discrimination and tolerance organizations.

“The ‘We Are One’ T-shirts will be available in four styles.”

The images furnished by the NBA depict all-black T-shirts with the words “We Are One” in white all capital letters across the chest. Just above it is the Adidas logo, and just below it is the Los Angeles Clippers logo (one one version) or the NBA logo (on another).

The shirts will be available online at, at the NBA Store at 590 5th Ave. in New York City, and locally at the Team LA store at Staples Center.

The Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors, who are tied at three wins apiece, face off for a do-or-die Game 7 on Sunday at Staples Center, with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
