Mena Suvari attended her first European fashion show on Sunday and was impressed.

“I was sad when the show was over,” the “American Beauty” star said at the after-party, still marveling at Donatella Versace’s presentation for Atelier Versace, which launched the fall-winter 2013-2014 haute couture season. “She set the bar high.”

And that Versace did, even more so than usual with a stunning-at-43 Naomi Campbell leading off the catwalk parade of body-hugging, skin-baring fashions that shimmered in sequins and outlined curves in white Swarovski crystals.

There to watch from the star-studded front row were Uma Thurman, Emma Roberts of “Aquamarine” and Zachary Quinto of “Star Trek,” who later talked of his upcoming role in “The Glass Menagerie,” which will open on Broadway this September. More familiar faces were Cameron Silver of L.A.’s “Decades” boutique and super-stylist Cristina Ehrlich, whose A-list of clients includes Amy Adams, Penelope Cruz, Julianna Margulies, Ashley Greene and Amber Heard.

Ehrlich said she attended, in part, to scout out Emmy fashions for her clientele, which also includes a few likely nominees. “This is what couture is all about,” she said of the new designs, clearly impressed by the show’s high fashion style, impressive details and infusion of what Ehrlich called Versace’s “essence of rock ‘n’ roll.”

This season, the Versace collection also sparkled from genuine jewels, as the after-party celebrated the label’s new high fashion jewelry. Known as Haute Joaillerie Atelier Versace, the intricately designed diamond chains, bracelets and earrings remained on display throughout the affair, as guests viewed the precious accessories close-up over champagne and caviar.
