Shopping and Style: Uniqlo opens pop-up at South Coast Plaza
Japanese clothing store Uniqlo has opened a pop-up shop at South Coast Plaza, a precursor to its new store that is scheduled to open in the mall in September.
The pop-up carries an abbreviated selection of Uniqlo’s casual designs for men, women and children. It’s on Level 1 in the Carousel Court section of the mall, at 3333 Bristol St., Costa Mesa.
Openings
Mom’s the Word has scheduled a grand opening party at 4 p.m. Thursday at its new maternity boutique at 7952 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles. During the event, everything in the store will be 20% off and treats and beverages will be served.
Christophe Salon in Newport Beach has expanded and now features more than 3,000 square feet of space, including a 300-square-foot loft. Services include hair and nails, with a makeup and brow bar scheduled to open sometime this summer. The salon is at Fashion Island, at 315 Newport Center Drive.
Sales
Stone Cold Fox and several other brands including Beach Riot, Flynn Skye, Friend of Mine, Novella Royale, Tori Praver, Luv AJ and Again are joining together for a sample sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at 427 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Trunk shows
New York-based shoe designer Ivy Kirzhner is slated to present her summer collection along with select fall pieces from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kitson, 115 S. Robertson Blvd., Los Angeles.
