Designed by the next Calvin Klein?

Call it college couture. Beginning Friday, one-of-a-kind creations by the fashion design graduates from the Otis College of Art and Design will be on display and for sale at Sculpture to Wear in Santa Monica.

The clothes were made under the direction of fashion mentors including Bob Mackie, Natalie Chanin of Alabama Chanin, Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein and Behnaz Sarafpour. Each of them gave students an assignment and then guided them through construction. The best of the bunch were featured in the school’s year-end scholarship show.

The designs for sale range from denim sportswear to exotic eveningwear, and cost $250 to $2,500.
