Miley Cyrus’ hair: It’s Miley, y’all, with a new ‘do

Wait a second. Was that a picture of Aaron Carter? Maybe Michelle Williams? Nope. It’s Miley Cyrus, y’all!

The actress and singer caused fans to do a double-take when she posted photos of her new hairstyle on Twitter. Cyrus, who made headlines earlier this summer with her engagement to “The Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth, is sporting a short, platinum-blond pixie cut, and loving it.

“Feeling so happy in my skin,” tweeted Cyrus.

The new cut sparked mixed reactions around the Web, but Cyrus was quick to respond to her “haters” via Twitter, although here we have edited out her anatomical expletive.

“My dad @billyraycyrus used to tell me ‘opinions are like ... everybody has one’ LOVE my hair feel so happy, pretty, and free.”

“if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else’s and it’s going bye bye :)”

The platinum-blond color and chopped locks came courtesy of hair stylist Chris McMillan. It’s a decidedly edgier look for the 19-year-old, whose big break came on the Disney Channel.
