Cannes-do Style: Calvin Klein and the Independent Filmmaker Project celebrated women in film at an event Thursday night that included Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, Carey Mulligan and Harvey Weinstein. In other Calvin Klein news, Mara will be fronting the new Calvin Klein fragrance, Downtown (out in July). Rooney was dressed for last night’s fete in a slinky nude-colored Calvin Klein gown and a Jennifer Meyer bracelet.

Over at the Chopard Trophy event, model Cara Delevingne made a memorable entrance in a racy, sheer black Roberto Cavalli pantsuit. Another of our favorite looks? Marion Cotillard in a Vivienne Westwood corset gown at a Chopard-sponsored lunch.

Perrin Takes New York: Sally Perrin, the L.A. and Paris-based designer behind the Perrin Paris accessories brand, who was recently honored with the Otis School of Art and Design’s first Style Icon Award, celebrated the opening of her first New York store last night. The soiree was held in a private penthouse overlooking the midtown skyline and attended by Martha Stewart, Maggie Betts, Hannah Bronfman, Kelly Framel, Chelsea Leyland, Cameron Silver and others. The New York boutique is located at 76th Street and Madison Avenue near the Carlyle Hotel.
