Beyonce, new song star in H&M; summer 2013 ad campaign

Beyonce -- and a single from her upcoming album -- are featured in H&M;’s latest advertising campaign, the Swedish fast-fashion retailer announced Thursday.

The song, “Standing on the Sun,” accompanies a recently posted 90-second Jonas Akerlund-directed video that depicts a bikini-clad Beyonce and gal pals throwing sand and splashing in the surf in pieces from H&M;’s summer 2013 collection. Oh, and, just in case you were wondering, it’s not a Cuban beach she’s frolicking on -- the company’s announcement noted the film was shot “in the beautiful surroundings of [the] Bahamas.” [H&M; YouTube]

In case you missed our mention of it Wednesday, Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” wedding dress and Jean Paul Gaultier cone-bra corset will be among the star’s iconic costumes featured in a one-night-only pop-up fashion exhibit at Macy’s Westfield Century City from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. [L.A. Times]

L.A.’s BritWeek 2013 kicked off with a Wednesday night “Salute to Old Hollywood” tribute bash, reports Society News L.A., Among the celebrity guests in attendance were -- and we quote -- “Mischa Barton, Bruno Tonioli, Terri Seymour, Louise Roe [and] two James Bonds.” (Which makes us wonder: If you have two 007s in the house, does that mean you’ve got one Agent 014?)
