Where to find beer milkshakes and beef jerky grilled cheese sandwiches

Share

Beer milkshake. Let those two glorious words soak in for a second — or even a hot minute.

Pono Burger in Santa Monica is now serving an oatmeal stout milkshake, which is indeed a beer milkshake.

The boozy drink is made with Anderson Valley Oatmeal Stout, Straus Family soft serve organic vanilla ice cream, salted caramel sauce, maple whipped cream and toasted coconut chips. Because when you’re eating a burger topped with wasabi mayo, Okinawan sweet chips, avocado, pea shoots and sesame ponzu dressing, and can’t decide between a shake and a beer, you shouldn’t have to.

The milkshake is part of the restaurant’s new spring menu, and is available until fall.

And if you’re still celebrating Grilled Cheese Month — why wouldn’t you be — you can now find a beef jerky grilled cheese sandwich.

For this week only, Wally’s Beverly Hills and the Westwood location will be serving sandwiches made with Three Jerks chipotle adobo jerky, Shelburne cheddar, Rosario black truffle mayo and Dijon mustard. Because, why not?

447 N. Canon Drive, Beverly Hills, (310) 475-3540; 2107 Westwood Blvd., Los Angeles, (310) 475-0606, www.wallywine.com.
