Blake Shelton talks Pizza Hut, Bud Light and knuckle sandwiches
Pizza Hut has added bacon to its line of stuffed-crust pizzas with the new Bacon Cheese Stuffed Crust pizza. Yes, they’ve added bacon to a blend of white cheddar, mozzarella and provolone and stuffed their pizza crust with it. And to help them promote the new pizza, which launched Thursday, they’ve enlisted the help of “The Voice” star and country music artist Blake Shelton.
“If there was a way to combine awesome with greatness this is what it is,” Shelton said.
A one-topping Bacon Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza is now available for $11.99.
We asked Shelton a series of very important questions about pizza, what he likes to drink and what food he’d like to throw in Adam Levine’s face if he had the chance.
Favorite pizza toppings?
Mushrooms and black olives.
What do you eat when it’s 2 a.m. and you need a snack?
Chips, like corn chips. Doritos.
Hamburger or grilled cheese?
If you were to do your famous finger point at a food item what would it be?
This new Bacon Cheese Stuffed Crust pizza. [We had a feeling he’d say that.]
Craziest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Crow. A friend and myself actually cooked some crow so we could actually say we’ve eaten crow. Don’t ever do that.
Have you ever brought home fresh fajitas and whipped up a pitcher of margaritas for your wife Miranda Lambert?
Yes, as a matter of fact. Yes.
Right now I’m liking Sierra Mist and vodka.
Chocolate or vanilla?
If you could put anything on a pizza what would it be?
Favorite spot to eat in Los Angeles?
What do you eat when you’re celebrating?
Not a joke, stuffed-crust pizza.
Favorite thing to eat in your hometown?
Whatever Miranda is cooking
Favorite dish to cook?
If you owned a restaurant what would it be called and what kind of food would you serve?
I would call it Blake’s Bar and Grill and I would probably serve jello shots and cheese sticks.
Dessert you can’t live without?
Rice Krispie treats.
Hot pizza or cold pizza the next morning?
First three words that come to mind when you think of bacon?
Blisters, bits, grease.
If you could throw one food in Adam Levine’s face what would it be?
Crispy crust or it never happened. Follow me on Twitter @Jenn_Harris_
