Drinking it all in: Latin wine and food at East L.A. Meets Napa
- Share via
For one night out of the year, East L.A. Meets Napa takes over Union Station’s historic Dutch Colonial-Mission Revival courtyard and turns it into one of Los Angeles’ premiere wine tasting events. The annual fundraiser for Altamed took place Friday evening, and it was as bustling as ever as it celebrated its ninth year of operation. The event is exactly what its name infers, nearly three dozen Latino-owned or -operated wineries from the Napa area (and some from Baja California, Mexico) paired with East Los Angeles’ top Mexican American restaurants. More than 1,500 thirsty partygoers arrived to the sold-out event replete with live salsa music and plenty of free-flowing wine.
