If you like soft serve ice cream and hot dogs, pay attention. Dog Haus, the sausage-centric franchise known for its King’s Hawaiian roll buns and chili cheese tots, is adding soft serve to the menu. But it’s not just any soft serve; it’s Fosselman’s, from Fosselman’s Ice Cream Company, the San Gabriel Valley scoop shop that’s been around since 1919. The vanilla soft-serve ice cream will be available in a cone or a cup, along with salty caramel and Dutch chocolate milkshakes, at all 10 California Dog Haus locations, including the two restaurants in Pasadena and one in Alhambra. And if you stop by on Labor Day (Sept. 7), you can get a free cone. 93 E. Green St., Pasadena, (626) 683-0808, www.doghaus.com.
