Nighthawk Breakfast Bar, the late-night Hollywood restaurant that only serves breakfast after 8 p.m., is closing tonight, but plans to reopen at a new location on Melrose Avenue the first week of June. Sadie Kitchen & Lounge, the adjacent restaurant and bar, is also closing.

Nighthawk Breakfast Bar owner Jeremy Fall also recently announced plans to open Nighthawk: A.M., a daytime version of his original late-night concept, which opens May 24 on Melrose Avenue. The new Nighthawk Breakfast Bar will be located next to the new morning operation, at 7174 Melrose Ave.

“The new location is more centrally located in the city and with easier parking options and a small outdoor space with views of Los Angeles,” Fall said in a statement.

Sadie Kitchen & Lounge, the Hollywood restaurant and bar that featured food from Nighthawk Breakfast and Bar next door, will also close tonight, but for good. The owners of the building have accepted an offer from Mark Verge (founder of Westside Rentals and owner of Ox & Son and Art’s Table in Santa Monica), who will immediately take over the space.
