$1 fried chicken sandwiches and $1 bone marrow at the Sandwich Smith and Fickle

To celebrate their first anniversary, the Sandwich Smith and Fickle in Little Tokyo are offering $1 specials Saturday, and Monday to Thursday.

The Sandwich Smith will be selling its original chicken sandwich with buttermilk fried chicken, garlic aioli, cheddar cheese, creamy coleslaw, pickle chips and tomato for $1 on Saturday. The sandwich special and draft beers ($3) will be available from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The party continues Monday at Fickle, the restaurant the Sandwich Smith turns into after dark. From 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Thursday, the restaurant will offer some of its favorite dishes as small plates for $1.

The roasted bone marrow with basil gremolata, ginger, soy and pickled daikon; Molasses pork belly with kabocha puree, charred savoy, balsamic glaze and candied sunflower seeds; Brussels sprouts with cauliflower and homemade lemon aioli and the crispy Yukon gold with Tapatio lime aioli will all be available at the special price.

For Fickle, reservations are not required, but highly encouraged.

The Sandwich Smith is open 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

Fickle is open 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
