Sprinkles to open at Americana at Brand Friday with S’mores ice cream

Cupcake giant Sprinkles will open its newest bakery at the Americana at Brand shopping center in Glendale Friday.

The new location will be the first to serve the Sprinkles S’more ice cream made with graham cracker ice cream, ribbons of fluffy marshmallow cream and bittersweet housemade fudge. The flavor will be available exclusively in Glendale through Aug. 17.

Customers will also be able to order Sprinkles cookies and grab cupcakes from a Sprinkles ATM, which serves cupcakes around the clock.

The first 100 customers in line Friday will be entered into a drawing to win a dozen free cupcakes each month for a year. The store is also giving customers a chance to win golden tickets for prizes ranging from free ice cream pints to $250 gift cards for the Americana and Sprinkles. Customers can win tickets Friday through Sunday.

Known for the two-colored circles on top of their cupcakes, the bakery offers more than 25 flavors including vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free varieties. The first location opened in Beverly Hills in 2005.

The Glendale Sprinkles will be open Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
