Night + Market’s backyard (anti-)wine dinner

Share

On Wednesday, Oct. 10, Night + Market hosts a wine dinner -- or “anti-wine dinner” -- in its backyard herb garden, featuring petillant naturel wines (dry, fizzy wines made without added yeast or sugar) from Pascal Potaire.

Pet-nat is French for awesome rustic fizzy fun wine topped with a beer cap,” said Night + Market chef Kris Yenbamroong in a release.

Two pet-nats -- a white (100% Chardonnay) and a rosé (Cot and Gamay) -- along with Noella Morantin’s Marie Rose (a Cabernet Sauvignon rosé) will be served along with Yenbamroong’s menu of mortar-pounded relishes (“recently, we’ve done shrimp guts, pork floss and salted duck egg,” he says); pork rinds; fried chicken wings, grilled pig neck, “startled pig” and shrimp paste seasoned rice.

Dinner is at 7 p.m. Seating, which will be communal, is limited. Reservations are available online at www.nightmarketla.com; write “WINE DINNER” in the notes section. Cost: $49 includes all food and three wines. Additional menu items available a la carte.

9041 Sunset Blvd., W. Hollywood CA, (310) 275-9724, www.nightmarketla.com.
