Letters: Another view of e-cigarettes
Re “New product, old concerns,” Letters, Oct. 8
Raymond J. Melrose, a USC pathology professor emeritus, advocates regulating “e-cigarettes just like it does other tobacco products until these can be proved safe.”
For people who are already addicted to nicotine, e-cigarettes are a potentially lifesaving alternative. Regulation will only create additional barriers to switching.
