San Francisco Giants: An article in the Oct. 29 LATExtra section about San Francisco’s reaction to the Giants winning the World Series said the team had moved to San Francisco from Brooklyn. The team played its games in Manhattan and was known as the New York Giants.

Great Park: A photo caption with an article in the Oct. 27 Section A about development of the Orange County Great Park referred to the park’s balloon attraction as a hot-air balloon. The balloon is filled with helium.

Pahrump: An article in the Oct. 23 Section A about a fight against incorporation in Pahrump, Nev., said the community was 60 miles east of Las Vegas. It is 60 miles west.
