Luxury hotel rates: In the May 25 Travel section, an article about savings at luxury hotels reported that Union Square Hotel in San Francisco was offering a 25% discount off its best available room rate. In fact, the special takes 25% off the rack, or brochure, rate.

CIA name disclosure: In the May 27 Section A, an article about the accidental disclosure of the identity of the CIA chief in Afghanistan said that former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby revealed that former intelligence official Valerie Plame worked for the CIA. Former State Department official Richard Armitage said he was the first to disclose that Plame worked for the agency.

Science fair: In the May 16 LATExtra section, an article about an international science and engineering fair for high school students described participant Kalyani Ramadurgam as 17 years old. She is 15.
