Roger Ebert: A review of the documentary “Life Itself” in the July 4 Calendar section said that at the age of 21 Roger Ebert became the youngest film critic at a major newspaper in the United States. Ebert was 24 when he became a critic at the Chicago Sun-Times.

Baseball postseason: A column in the July 6 Sports section about potential California playoff teams included a caption that misidentified San Francisco Giants player Buster Posey as teammate Michael Morse.

Summer Bridge program: An article in the July 7 LATExtra section about Cal State’s Summer Bridge program said that nearly 41,000 students applied for freshman admission to Cal State universities for the fall. That number refers to the students who applied for Cal State Fullerton admission only.
