Gaza Strip healthcare: An article in the July 13 Section A about Gaza Strip residents receiving medical treatment in Turkey said that about 3,000 patients from the area with life-threatening illnesses apply each month to get treatment at Israeli hospitals, according to the World Health Organization. The figure is about 2,000. The article also said that fewer than two-thirds receive security clearance to pass through the Erez crossing. The figure is fewer than three-fourths, on average.

Port pollution: In the July 13 California section, an article about air pollution at the Port of Los Angeles said that a recent South Coast Air Quality Management District plan signaled that it would rely on voluntary measures rather than rules to improve air quality at the ports. Though the plan relies on voluntary pollution-cutting measures by the ports, it also proposes a rule or agreement as a backstop in case those reductions are not achieved.
