For the record - Dec. 9, 2011
Tax proposal: An article in the Dec. 6 LATExtra section about Gov. Jerry Brown’s tax plan said that the governor wants to increase income taxes for those making more than $250,000 a year by 1% to 2%. It should have said that Brown’s proposal would raise the tax rates on those earners by 1 to 2 percentage points.
Opera Posse: In the Dec. 8 Calendar section, the caption for a photo accompanying an article about Opera Posse identified the boy in the production of “Amahl and the Night Visitors” as Leighton Saxby. He is Caleb Glickman.
Holiday gift guide: The Nov. 26 Home section holiday gift guide included a photo of a throw blanket that readers could knit using a pattern from Brooklyn Tweed. The caption with the photo gave an incorrect web address for the company; the correct URL is https://www.brooklyntweed.net.
College football: In the Dec. 4 Sports section, an article on Big East games said Syracuse was not bowl-eligible for the second year in a row after its loss to Pittsburgh. Syracuse played in last season’s Pinstripe Bowl.
