Public pension funds: An article in the July 17 Business section about investment returns at the nation’s two biggest public pension funds said the return for private equity investments at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System for the last fiscal year was -5.4%. The correct number was +5.4%. CalPERS said it sent out the wrong number in the news release about its annual financial results.

“The Real L Word”: An article in the July 15 Calendar section about the series “The L Real Word” said it is Showtime’s top-performing unscripted show. It is Showtime’s top-performing unscripted show in prime time.

Celeste Holm: A news obituary of actress Celeste Holm in the July 16 LATExtra section incorrectly spelled music historian Miles Kreuger’s surname as Krueger.

Kitty Wells: In the July 17 Calendar section, an article paying tribute to country singer Kitty Wells identified her breakthrough 1956 album as “Kitty Wells’ Hit Parade.” The title was “Kitty Wells’ Country Hit Parade.”

Los Angeles Philharmonic: In the July 14 Calendar, a review of the L.A. Philharmonic’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl said the orchestra had performed Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3 in January at Walt Disney Concerto Hall. It’s the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
