Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Big Bear City

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Saturday morning four miles from Big Bear City, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 10:42 a.m. PDT at a depth of 3.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 21 miles from Yucca Valley and Yucaipa, and 22 miles from Banning.
In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
