Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Red Bluff, Calif.
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning 27 miles southwest of Red Bluff, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:46 a.m. PDT at a depth of 6.2 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 44 miles from Redding and 47 miles from Chico, Calif.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
