Man kills himself at end of high-speed police pursuit, LAPD says
Authorities say a passenger in a stolen Jeep shot and killed himself at the end of a police chase in South Los Angeles.
Officer Tony Im said police began chasing the Jeep with no license plates around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A short time later, Im said, the vehicle crashed into a pole and the passenger, a man in his 20s, ran away and shot himself in the head. He died at the scene.
