3.2 earthquake strikes near Cabazon

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Wednesday morning four miles from Cabazon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:20 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 10.6 miles.

The epicenter was six miles from Banning, 11 miles from Beaumont and 14 miles from Desert Hot Springs, according to the USGS.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
