A fuel truck crashed into an airplane at LAX on Monday.

The driver of a fuel truck became trapped when his vehicle crashed into an unoccupied airplane at Los Angeles International Airport, fire authorities said.

The crash occurred about 4:15 p.m. at Terminal 4, said Erik Scott, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department. The driver was quickly extricated and taken to a hospital.

His condition was not immediately available, Scott said. There was no fire or significant fuel leak.
