Man arrested in shooting death of girl, 14, in Ontario
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of shooting a 14-year-old girl to death Wednesday night at a small get-together in Ontario, police said.
Andrea De Rosas of Ontario was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the San Bernardino County coroner’s office. Police said she died from a gunshot wound.
Police arrested Luis Angel Gonzales on suspicion of killing the girl, Sgt. Jeff Higbee said.
Andrea and a friend were attending a small gathering about 8:35 p.m. at a home in the 700 block of East I Street, he said.
Police recovered a handgun they believed was used in the shooting.
Detectives are still investigating and had not determined a possible motive.
