Three people were found shot to death Tuesday morning in a Riverside County home, prompting officials to launch a homicide investigation.

Deputies were called about 10:30 a.m. to the home in the 31000 block of Wisconsin Street in Lake Elsinore, Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Armando Munoz said.

The bodies were discovered inside the home, which is about 100 yards north of the Lake Elsinore shore. The victims were described as adults, but their identities were not released pending notification of their families, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives have been examining the property throughout the day as part of their inquiry, and part of Wisconsin Street was closed to traffic.

No suspects have been identified.

Ana Angeles, who lives nearby, told the Riverside Press-Enterprise that the home where the bodies were found appeared to draw homeless people.

“There were always people coming in and out of that house,” Angeles, 41, told the newspaper.
