When the delivery driver walked outside of the restaurant, he noticed the tractor-trailer was gone and immediately called police.

It wasn’t long before police spotted the Carl’s Jr. delivery truck traveling at a low speed on County Road 102, west of North Sacramento.

Shelton refused to stop and engaged police in a slow chase on the 102 until driving over a spike strip on the road, Cucchi said.

She was arrested on suspicion of carjacking, vehicle theft, resisting arrest and fleeing the scene, Cucchi said.
