Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a Cal State Northridge student from Saudi Arabia, Los Angeles police said Sunday.
The body of Abdullah Abdullahtif Alkadi was found about 11:50 p.m. Thursday along Interstate 10 near the Cook Street overpass in Palm Desert, police said.
Alkadi, an electrical engineering student, was last seen Sept. 17 at his home in the 9900 block of Reseda Boulevard after selling his car on Craigslist, his brother told police.
LAPD Officer Sally Madera declined on Sunday to release any further information about the arrests. Police Chief Charlie Beck has scheduled a news conference on Monday to discuss the case.
